Alfonso M. Gonzalez is a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (Brownsville) and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music with All Level Teacher Certification. Gonzalez is primarily a vocalist specializing in the classical style of Opera Singing and also plays piano and guitar.
Gonzalez is currently pursuing his certification as a Kodaly Music Educator. Gonzalez completed 104 hours of professional development during the summer of 2017 through the Kodaly Certification Program at Texas State University in conjunction with Hayes C.I.S.D. |

- Member of "Pasion", the Rio Grande Valley's Professional Chorus under the direction of Dr. Eric Posada, since 2016

- Featured Member of the Alumni/Faculty Ensemble for the UT-RGV Chorale Concert Performance of Bach's "Jesu Meine Freude" and Vivaldi's "Gloria". 2016 - 2017
- T.M.E.A. (Texas Music Educators Association) Featured Tenor Soloist with the University of Texas at Brownsville Master Chorale 2011 under the direction of Dianne Brumley.

- N.A.T.S. (National Association for Teachers of Singing) Regional Texas Competition placing 1st in respective competing divisions 2007, 2008 & 2009.
- Opera Roles performed with the UTB Bravo Opera Company: "Don Jose" fr. Bizet's Carmen, "Tamino" fr. Mozart's The Magic Flute, "Alfred" fr. Strauss's Die Fledermaus, and "Nanki-Poo" fr. Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado.
